Hypnosis for Women

In the past couple of years I have been approached by more and more women asking if I would work with them. My guess is that these women would rather work with another woman because she understands things from the female perspective. Up until now, I have referred these women on to a colleague. This is because I have worked up to this point exclusively with children and adolescents, who have their own very specific needs and issues.

Women also have their own very specific needs and issues. First and foremost women want to be admired, appreciated, understood, and respected for who they are regardless of the ‘roles' they hold in society; like wife, mother, daughter, sister or professional etc… All aspects of our lives add to the definition of who we are as women, but the person ‘at the core' is the most important one. Connection with this ‘real' self identity is necessary for us to answer all the important questions in our lives and to find that often elusive joy, happiness, success, peace and contentment.

As women, so many of us have been trained to put the needs of others first. We so often don't even understand what our needs are, or what to do about them. Hypnosis allows us to relax and allow the subconscious mind to reveal truths and strengths which might never have come to light otherwise. There are many ways in which hypnosis can be helpful to women. I have now opened my practice to this new area of expertise and am very excited about this opportunity to guide and empower women to truly believe in themselves, have faith in themselves and to really know and acknowledge who they are physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Working on Yourself is your best gift to yourself!

Hypnosis refers to a state or condition in which the client becomes highly responsive to suggestions. Many people wonder if they may be able to be hypnotized.  In fact, you are in states of hypnosis often throughout the day.  The first few moments of waking and the last few moments before going to sleep are the most common.  Many times people drive to a destination only to find that they don't remember the drive.  The drive was successful, there were no accidents, and everyone arrived safely.  The driver was in a state of road-induced hypnosis, commonly called 'Highway Hypnosis' .  Much like Highway Hypnosis, when an individual is in a state of hypnosis, you are still alert and able to make conscious decisions.  If you want to learn more about hypnosis go to my hypnosis page
